AMASA - Come join us for our American Tree Farm Field Day Event hosted by the Iron Baraga Conservation District and VanOss Forestry on Friday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about American Tree Farm System plus other programs available to help landowners. You will learn proper forest management and how to keep your forest healthy. This is a great chance to talk to a variety of foresters. There will be other natural resource professionals joining as well, such as the American Bird Conservancy, MAEAP and the NRCS.
There will be lunch provided and door prizes will be drawn.
Meet in Amasa. When you sign up, you will be sent directions and a map on where exactly to meet. We’ll travel to a handful of timbered sites within the area to discuss all things forestry related.
Pre-Registration is required. You can call Carly DeVet, Iron Baraga District Forester at 906-236-5108 or email fap.iron.baraga@macd.org to sign up.
