Blessing of the family pets

CRYSTAL FALLS - St Mark’s Episcopal Church at 809 Crystal Avenue was thrilled to host several happy pets for their Blessing of Animals service on Sunday, Oct. 1. 
The Rev. Peg Padilla is seen with the recently blessed dogs and their several human friends. It was a beautiful day for the event and it was wonderful to have folks with and without pets attend. 
The service is held each year to honor our animal companions and also to support the local animal shelter. Gifts were accepted for the Northwoods Animal Shelter in Iron River.
