Hunger relief food truck to arrive in Iron River

IRON RIVER - On Thursday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m. the final food distribution of 2023 will occur at Grace Covenant Church, 316 Jasper Street. This distribution is in partnership with Feeding America West Michigan (FAWM) and is an equal opportunity event. To volunteer email: officeadmin@gccir.org or call 906-265-9951. We cannot set aside nor guarantee food for volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, arrive at the church at noon for an orientation prior to set up.
At the October distribution, 310 households totaling 599 individuals received full boxes of milk, nectarines, apples, grapes, cheese, almonds, rice, crackers and instant potatoes. We do not know what the food items will be until a day before each distribution. Thank you to all who have volunteered this calendar year.
