IRON RIVER — Jerry White, age 74, passed away on Friday, Aug. 7, 2020.

He was born Nov. 24, 1946, in Stambaugh, the son of the late Frances White. Jerry attended the Stambaugh schools, graduating with the class of 1965. He then attended Milwaukee Area Technical College and earned an associate degree in commercial art.

Jerry married Sherry Pascenti on Sept. 13, 1969, at St Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian, and the couple celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary in 2016. Together they worked side by side operating Northern Printing and Graphics for 34 years. His devotion to Sherry lasted to the very end of her struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Jerry gave selfless, loving and committed care to Sherry for many years, as her primary caregiver.

He was a dedicated and loving father. Jerry loved to spend time with his kids and made many fond memories with them. His kids were his pride and joy. Family was always the number one priority through the years. He will be missed.

He attended the Long Lake Community Bible Church and was a member of the Iron County Pullers Association, the Iron River VFW Auxiliary, the Economic Development Committee, the Golden K and helped local kids with vocational training in the print shop. Jerry loved riding his Harley with Sherry and having bonfires with family and friends. As an artist, he was very creative and enjoyed drawing and painting. Jerry worked for 30 years on the Annual Father’s Day Car Show and took pleasure in driving his Classic MG convertible. He liked traveling and taking road trips to visit family and watch NASCAR races. He was also a good cook and baker.

Jerry is survived by his son, Jamison White of Green Bay, Wis.; daughter, Melissa White of Monmouth Beach, N.J.; sister, Ginger (Clayton) LaBine of Mesa, Ariz.; very special friends, Duane and Diane Petcoff of Minnesota; many cousins, extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Aug. 14 at 11a.m. at Resthaven Cemetery in Iron River with Pastor Gary White to officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in Sherry’s name are appreciated.
