CRYSTAL FALLS— Joseph R. Serbentas III, 68, passed away Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, at his home. Visitation was Dec. 27, at St. Mary Church, Griffith, Ind. The Funeral Mass followed at St. Mary Church. IRON RIVER — Sharon “Shari” Sue Stapleton, age 50, passed away unexpectedly from an auto accident on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021. She was born on July 28, 1971, in Peru, Ind., the daughter of Ronald and Kathy Stapleton and Sharon Depoy. Melvin Brunk, Jr.

WATERSMEET— Melvin Brunk, Jr., 40, peacefully walked on Dec. 16, 2021, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. Funeral services for Melvin were held Dec. 19 at the Rec Center in Watersmeet. Burial was in the Old Indian Village Cemetery in Watersmeet. A feast was held at Lac Vieux Dessert Rec Center following the burial. A celebration of life followed the feast. The Cane Funeral Home-Bruce Crossing Chapel is assisting the family.
