CRYSTAL FALLS — Ronald Gene Salo, age 77, died on Aug. 9 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Private funeral services were held with burial in the Hematite Cemetery in Amasa.

ESCANABA — Ernest J. “Ernie” Kaven, 79, of Escanaba, passed away on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, Wis. Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 18 at Bethany Lutheran Church of Escanaba, located at 202 South 11th Street. Visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m., and a funeral will commence at 3 p.m. Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Perronville. In honor of Ernie Kaven’s legacy of generous giving, and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Escanaba Bethany Lutheran Church “Free Store”, a resource pantry ministry supporting those in need. A message of condolence may be directed to the Kaven family by visiting www.crawfordfuneralhomes.net.

Daniel Passamani
IRON RIVER — Daniel J. Passamani, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Oct.  2, 2021, at the Bates Township Hall with a gathering starting at 2 p.m. and service starting at 3 p.m. Interment will be in the Bates Township Cemetery, Iron River. Condolences may be expressed to the family of Daniel J.
