Sandra Spears-Williams

IRON RIVER — Sandra J. Spears-Williams, age 70, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital.

Sandy was born on April 29, 1950, in Stambaugh, the daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude (Wehvila) Autio. Sandy attended the Iron River schools, graduating with the class of 1968.

Sandy married Roger Williams on March 9, 1994, in New Rochelle, N.Y., where the couple made their home before moving to the area. They celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary this year.

She was employed as a chef and at the AmericInn in Iron River before retiring. She enjoyed bowling, boating, being outdoors and spending time with her family.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Roger Williams of Iron River; daughters, Jennifer (Anthony) Spears-Pignataro of Shelton, Conn. and Dawn (Noel) Harrison of Midland; stepdaughter, Lisa (Matt) Seymour of New Milford N.J.; sister, Carol (Willard) Olson of Iron River; sister-in-law, Kay Autio of Marshall; grandchildren, Brandon, Tianna, Alyssa and Jamie Pignataro, Haleigh, Sarah and Cayla Harrison, and Mackenzie Seymour; great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Jayden, Jordan and D-Angelo; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald Autio.

Private services will be held.
