West Side Veterans Council would like to thank those businesses and individuals that donated for the 4th of July parade and fireworks including: Golden K Club, I-Tax, Iron County National Guard Club, Caspian Progressive Men, Grier Family, M. Gagne, Fitzpatrick Construction, Iron Range Trail Club, American Legion Post 21 Auxiliary, American Legion Post 17 Auxiliary, Essential Kneads, R & B Weatherholt. Delightful Designs, Wyatt’s, Central Arts, Genesee St. Ind., Harris Auto, George Young’s Rec, Low Impact Logging, Cottages to Castles, Iron County Veterans Committee, Saigh Insurance, Forslund Lumber, Jacobs Funeral Home, Family Foods, Riverside Pizzeria, Cozee Bar, Wooden Nickel, Friends of Camp Gibbs, Wild Rivers Realty, Shamion AG, Silver Moon, J. Spicer, Mike’s Muff Ex, U.P. Riverland Realty, Iron River DDA, City of Iron River, Stateline Auto and Bates Township.
A spokesman for the West Side Veterans Council said there was a lot of positive feedback on the parade and fireworks. “It was a great parade, and the fireworks display was truly spectacular. Again, a special thanks to the Fire Department for an outstanding job with the fireworks. We also want to thank our Parade Marshall, Jim Brennan, and so many others for helping to make the parade really special.
We are pleased to be able to sponsor the Independence Day celebration and want to thank the entire community for the generous financial support that really enabled us to get this done. Plans are already underway for next year. We hope we can make it as special as this year.”
The West Side Veterans Council is made up of veterans from all the local veterans organizations including VFW Post 3134, American Legion Post 21, Amvets Post 436, and other local veterans at large.
