Kaitlynn Mathison, 15, of Iron River shot her first buck on the first day of Youth Hunt with her Grandpa, Clint Otto at Bates Lake. She shot a 243 rifle, taking out the 7-point buck from 40 yards away in a deer blind.

Jenna Sunn, 13, of Iron River shot a 243 rifle at an eight-point buck in the heart from the family’s deer stand during the Youth Hunt on Sept. 10. Jenna was with her mother, Jackie and father, Josh for their annual family hunting trip.
