WATERSMEET - The Ottawa National Forest is pleased to announce the reopening of the Ottawa National Forest Visitor Center. The summer hours for the Visitor Center located at the intersection of US-2 and US-45, are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. CT.
“We are very pleased to be able to reopen the Visitor Center,” says Tony Crump, Acting Forest Supervisor, “We greatly appreciate the communities and visiting public understanding as we worked to overcome staffing difficulties.”
The Ottawa Visitor Center sells recreation passes, interagency passes and permits during their open hours. Staff is available to help answer questions about the forest, vacations and more.
