IRONWOOD — The U.S. Forest Service, Ottawa National Forest announces road maintenance on Forest Roads (FR) 400 and FR 630 on the Ontonagon Ranger District, northeast of Bergland, Michigan.

WATERSMEET — The Ottawa National Forest Visitor Center, located in Watersmeet, has begun its summer operating schedule as of May 23.
Camp Gibbs Recreation Area in Iron River hosted the Field Day for the Iron County Hunter Safety course on Saturday, May 7. Multiple stations were set up for various training activities including how to read a compass, how to shoot a rifle, shot gun and bow, as well as skeet shooting and how to properly set up and climb a tree stand.
