Butterfield powers to championship

Alex Butterfield, son of Vicki and Jeff Butterfield of Carmel, Indiana, and grandson of Bonnie and John Baldwin of Iron River, won three golds recently at the Roque National Weightlifting Championships in Detroit. The 23-year-old Butterfield topped all competitors in the U25 109+ Division in the snatch (272.8 pounds), the clean-and-jerk (332.2 pounds) and the overall event.
