CRYSTAL FALLS — In their first volleyball dual match of the 2021 season on Aug. 26, the Forest Park Lady Trojans lost the first two sets to the Carney-Nadeau Wolves.
They have lost a set in a dual match since.
The Lady Trojans continued their hot streak on Sept. 23 when they defeated host Stephenson 25-20, 25-16, 25-23. The win left Forest Park with a 4-0 dual match record heading into this week, in which the Lady Trojans were scheduled to play at North Dickinson on Monday, host West Iron on Tuesday and then travel to Munising on Thursday.
Rayven Jacobson and Gracie Peterson led FP against the Eagles with six kills each. Maddie Divine fired five aces and Ashlynn Kannich finished with 14 digs in the victory.
“We communicated well tonight and played as a team,” FP coach Bobbie Anderson said.
“We controlled the ball on our side of the court and found holes in the Stephenson defense.
“I’m happy with the progress our team is making.”
