CRYSTAL FALLS — Brian Fabbri is Forest Park’s head coach for the eight-man football team.
Fabbri’s strong football resume is highlighted by both individual and team honors: He earned All-state and All-Upper Peninsula Dream Team honors as a senior and was twice-selected All-Great Western Conference, including league defensive player of the year honors in 2005. He was an assistant coach with the  2017 state championship with a focus on developing the lineman.
With this experience, Fabbri brings knowledge not only of the game, but how to win.  He said he is looking forward to the start of the season.
“We have 20 players, a lot of whom are returning and they are joined by a number of very good young players who are eager to be part of the program,” Fabbri said.
As he begins his second full year as head coach, Fabbri is joined by three assistant coaches: Chris Nocerini, who played running back at Forest Park; and his son Dan Nocerini, who also played for Forest Park and subsequently college football; and Spencer Burns, the team’s strength and conditioning coach.
Fabbri is passionate about the game and is looking forward to the first day of practice, Aug. 8.
“We have a dedicated group of guys and I cannot wait to get started with our first practice,” he said. “In addition to the players’ passion for the game, we have great community support. The excitement of the team gets me excited to be the best coach I can be.”
