IRON RIVER — The Windsor Center is the home of Winter Bocce Ball. This year, the league season began on Jan. 10, and ended on Feb. 22. The league consisted of eight teams. Team captains were: Gary Pisoni, Charlie Jackson, Russ Perala, Joe Fittante, Mike Mariani, Mike Cimarelli, Mark Brunswick and Larry Evanoff. League play was on Mondays and Tuesdays. After the season ended, the teams were redistributed through a blind draw to form teams for a tournament.
Pickup games will continue on Monday nights until the courts at the Duke of Abruzzi are ready. Plans for summer league will be Co-Ed League on Mondays, Men’s League on Tuesdays. Rainout date on Wednesdays and Thursday for Co-Ed if the teams expand to more than eight.

The Windsor will again offer Kids Bocce as part of their summer recreation program.
