Burned Dam Campground in the Ottawa National Forest provides visitors with access to deep woods with fishing and canoeing opportunities on the Middle Branch of the Ontonagon River. This dispersed campground is also just a short walk from Mex-i-mine Falls, where you can watch the water flow gently over the rocks as it makes its way through on its way to Lake Superior. You are also sure to notice various rare species of plants and flowers, as well as a variety of wildlife. Burned Dam Campground is approximately 10 miles east of Watersmeet and contains five camping units with picnic tables, grills and toilets.
