JOLIET, Ill. — James Carl LaFountain, 86, passed away Saturday Feb. 8, 2025 peacefully in Joliet. He is survived by his daughter, Shelley (nee LaFountain) and Jerry Gabriel; grandson, James Gabriel, along with his girlfriend, Amber Hubner, her son, Logan and their daughter, Aurora Skye; brother, Bill LaFountain (Diane); niece, Lori LaFountain; nephew, Allen LaFountain; and their families. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; and parents, Carl LaFountain and Joy Murphy. At his request, no service will be held.
